Dying fish

What choices do we make as humanity. How do we feed ourselves and to what point do we feel pity for what we eat. How far is our food from the moment the fisherman catches his fish, and to what extent do we want to have control over nature. Dying fish is not a value judgement, nature forgives us but can we forgive ourselves?
